Dakota Xtreme Mallard Floaters
We use Dakota Xtreme Mallards, and they come with flocked heads. We use these in our spreads for the realism, flocked drakes add realism to them, and they make some of the best looking waterfowl decoys on the market, and they keep coming up with new stuff for the lines! Check out

G&H Decoys
As a Prostaffer for G&H Decoys I think these guys have it made, I use different brands (If You Haven't Noticed) because I have success with them, but I will never trade off the G&H Ringbills or Rivergators I've got. My family has shot the crap out of them and they still float strong, and they've been making them strong since 1934, get some today!

Greenhead Gear
Though we are currently expanding our variety, we also use Greenhead Gear. For the last 3 years, we have been using GHG's Pro-Grade Wood Duck and Greenwing Teal Decoys because they are the most realistic looking decoys on the market for their species. Everyone will have their opinion on the decoys they use, but my opinion-- Greenhead Gear is the only decoy company to chose. Get yourself some today!

Lucky DuckNow under some circumstances I am on the borderline between this company and another, but Lucky Duck is close to my home in New Richmond so it gets an A+ for location. They make really good decoys because they have such a great variety for waterfowl, they also have decoys for turkeys, predators, and game birds. We've had success with them on certain species of ducks. I'm hoping to make them a sponsor, and I'd like to take their gear and try to make it a little bit better, because believe me I like Lucky Duck, but a couple of products could definitely use some improv with the cooperation of the local birds we have in our areas.
None the less, check out Lucky Duck today! http://www.luckyduck.com/ |

3) Harry Uses a Benelli .12 Gauge, 3 1/2"
4) Dylan used a Charles Daley .20 Gauge, and a Browning Silver Hunter .20 Gauge, but now he's planning on using the Benelli 3" .12 Gauge I used during my first year of duck hunting- finally making the Upgrade!!

Ammunition.
Ammo is very various with the Child's Family-- we tend to buy whatever is the most affordable. However, through the Viper- I have had the most the most success with Federal's Black Cloud, Kent's Ammunition, or Remington's Nitro Steel, I seem to be using #4's or 5's, Do Not Use the #7 Shot unless your shooting crippled birds. I've used Heavy Metal #2's on honkers and knocked down many ducks with one shell, though spendy, it's worth the money.
Backwater Inc.
For Boats, there's a company called Backwater Inc. in Minnesota-- They sell Flatbottom aka "Jon" Boats originally made by Alweld. My dad, Jim M. Childs bought one last summer, it was a 16'L (Long) 48"W (Wide), sold by Backwater Inc. It works very well for Shallow Water and some river hunting, but it all depends on the size of the water your working. Check them Out today!
